Signs that divorce may be on the horizon

Most relationships go through periods of ups and downs, which is a perfectly normal thing. However, there are some relationship issues that point to deeper problems, and can be signs of a looming divorce. Knowing how to recognize these signs can help Florida spouses know when to buckle down and work on their marriage, and when it may be time to consider divorce.

One thing that should be cause for concern is when an individual has a strong physical reaction during the course of a normal disagreement. Couples fight, and failing to agree on things is not in and of itself a danger sign. However, when one or both parties is overcome by a strong physical response such as sweating, upset stomach or rapid heartbeat, it may be time to listen to the signals that one's body is sending.

Another cause for concern is when a relationship evolves to the level of roommates. Passion within a marriage is a good thing, even when that passion is expressed through strong disagreement. Once a couple has given up on connecting either positively or negatively, the relationship is often on its way out the door.

Florida couples who fear that their marriage may be on the rocks should take the time to examine the relationship and look for a solution. In many cases, couples are able to work through their differences and go on to lead long and happy lives together. For others, a multitude of signs and signals point toward the need to divorce, which can leave both sides in a far better position to achieve happiness.
